www.engrish.com  It will change your life.

::EDIT:::  I give up.  I have tried to put up with this for the last 3 1/2 years, but I will put up no longer.  IT IS SO FREAKING COLD in OKLAHOMA!!!  The highest it got today was 50, and a couple weeks ago it didn't get over 30 for several days.  I don't mean to be bitter (no pun intended), but I think after graduation, I will be seeking out a more sunny, warm climate.  Who knows...Texas, Arizona, the EQUATOR!?! I don't really care...but get me out of this icebox and FAST!

You can disregard the last post.  Rest assured, I am now fitted in a Gold 2003 Altima SL with....Leather HEATED seats, power doors, seats and windows, 6-CD changer...AND a lot of other wonderful niceties.

Ode to a used car...

So I am buying a car.  I hate this process.  I feel like I am a dead piece of road kill and the vultures are out to get me.  What ever happened to "feel free to look around, let me know if you need anything"?  Not.."You must buy this car NOW or you will DIE on your way home and you will be sorry, OH will you be sorry..."  I know, people gotta work. They gotta have food, a roof over their heads, a few bucks in the bank... But SERIOUSLY, car salesmen make me NOT want to buy a car.  So far I have been pretty tough. I am 4-for-4 on turning down "great deals" with a straight face... Maybe I should be a lawyer. Or maybe I am just a cold-hearted person and do not care about the welfare of my fellow citizens.  That's probably it.  The looks on their faces when I say, "No sir, that is just not good enough" is definitely priceless. Maybe that's why I have trouble with boys too....oh gosh, I should reconsider that....  but it doesn't help that the paternal unit wont let me get one without curtain air bags: "I've seen those accidents, and they are not pretty..."  My question is, are accidents EVER pretty? If they were I think we'd be seeing them showing up in Vogue more often...but that's just me....

But anyhoo. If you would like to build me a 2005 Nissan Altima in a dusty blue included with power seats and curtain airbags, I might even let you take the car for a spin.

Oh heavens. Let this process be over soon.

I am THROUGH with my student teaching! I never thought I would live to tell of it...It was absolutely a rewarding experience, and I've come out of the situation a changed person.  I know that I want to work with young teens, a group of kids I never thought I would want to be around...but they are great, they make me laugh, and they appreciate my corny jokes :)

I already got a job offer as a 6th grade math teacher!! It's too bad I am not graduating until May...but it still means a lot that my name is getting out there.... so hopefully there will be something come next fall....who knows! :)

7 inches of snow.  SEVEN INCHES!!! I don't know if I've ever seen 7 inches of snow before.  I pity all of you who live any farther north than I do.  I don't understand how you do it.  Maybe I am just a pansy about it all, but I can't take it!!  It's sooooo cold it makes me want to cry!!   But hey, as a student teacher, I am thrilled.  Two days off.  Two days off, 3 more to go.  Sweet.  It's not so bad I guess.   But give me 104 degrees anyday.....
